2. Data We Collect

Account data: When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and login credentials. If you sign in via Twitch or another external identity provider, we receive the basic profile information that provider authorizes them to share.

Usage data: We log how you interact with the Service (pages visited, features used, exports performed, session duration) in order to improve the product.

Payment data: Payments are handled entirely by Paddle.com Market Limited as Merchant of Record. We do not store your full credit-card details; we only receive a tokenized reference and transaction status from Paddle.

Technical data: We may collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers for security, analytics, and abuse-prevention purposes.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis

We use your personal data to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service (contract performance)
  • Manage your subscription and process payments through Paddle (contract performance)
  • Send transactional emails: account verification, password reset, payment receipts (contract performance)
  • Analyze usage patterns and improve features (legitimate interest)
  • Detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity (legitimate interest / legal obligation)
  • Comply with legal obligations before Chilean authorities (legal obligation)

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your content to train artificial-intelligence models without your explicit consent.

4. Sharing Data with Third Parties

We may share your data with:

  • Service providers: Trusted third parties that help us operate the platform (e.g., Amazon Web Services for storage, AssemblyAI for automatic transcription, Paddle for billing). These providers are bound by data-processing agreements and may only use your information according to our instructions.
  • Social platforms: When you publish content from StreamClip, you authorize the transmission of that content to the platforms you have connected (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
  • Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or competent authority in Chile.

When your data is transferred to providers located outside Chile, we ensure that adequate safeguards are in place under applicable law.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for the entire duration of your relationship with StreamClip. Uploaded videos remain active while your subscription is in effect, and for up to 90 days after cancellation or account deletion to allow data recovery.

You may request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting privacy@streamclip.io.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in across visits
  • Remember your preferences (e.g., language)
  • Analyze traffic and usage behavior with privacy-respecting analytics

You can manage cookie behavior from your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect Service functionality.

7. Security

We adopt reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data: HTTPS encryption, secure storage, and internal access controls. However, no system is 100% infallible. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights (Law No. 19,628)

Under Law No. 19,628 and its amendments, you have the right to:

  • Access: Know the personal data we hold about you and its origin
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Cancellation/Deletion: Request the deletion of your data when it is no longer necessary

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors of that age. If we learn we have done so, we will delete that information immediately. Access to paid plans requires being 18 years of age or older, or having authorization from a legal representative.

10. International Transfers

Some of our service providers operate outside Chile (e.g., the United States). When this occurs, we will implement the necessary safeguards to protect your data in accordance with applicable Chilean law.
